The Festival of Words is funded in part by a grant from the Southern Arts Federation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. It is also supported by a Grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Acadiana Arts Council. The festival receives additional support from The Festival of Words Cultural Arts Collective & Frederick L'Ecole Des Arts. Other sponsors include the Acadiana Writer's Guild, the Acadiana Writing Project and Revolution Theory.
