Flushing in New York My favorite place, in U.S., is Flushing in New York City. Suppose you are walking on a street in an American town where people are packed in like sardines. The music from loud speaker is Taiwanese pop music. People around you are talking in Chinese in a variety of accents. All of them make me think about whether I am back in Shanghai again. And this is Flushing. First and foremost, all the food I like can be found at Flushing, even rare foods. In addition, the salespeople here speak English with a mix of Chinese words , which gives me resonance since I ,too, mix my own language with their words. Moreover, the restroom policy makes me be homesick. In general, if you want to use the restroom in a grocery or a fast food restaurant for free, no way! You need to at least buy something. How do they know if you buy something or not? An employee at the door of a restroom will let you in by checking your receipt. Last but not least, people here are willing to share their political views with the public, although some of their views are opposite to yours. For instance, some people believe Flashing's political environment is freer than Shanghai, but some others disagree with this opinion. They think the environments are equal because they can "diss" Trump in Flushing, and so can they in Shanghai. Due to the reasons above, I will introduce this interesting and exotic place to all my friends. ================================== Patti: My favorite place is the park. I love to walk around the pond. There is an island but you can't get to it. If you want, you can even feed the ducks and naturia. My favorite is also to go watch the kids play in the park. So in conclusion, these are some of the reasons that I like the park. ========================= Manuel: An isolated room. I like my isolated room. In my quiet room, I can rest physically and mentally. In this room I save a lot of old things like an antique record player and discs. I can play marvelous classical music by: Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart and Strauss and other types of music like Louis Armstrong -- I love his Jazz music. On the wall of my favorite room are hanging up some fantastic Indians things like pictures, charms, a flute, a charango. With these I can always remember my roots. For instance, when I have time, I listen to some South American music. Also, in this room, there are many interesting history books from Native America. For this reason, I like so very much this colorful room.
