Changing Lives Through Literacy

Find out how you and your K-5th grade daughter can be a part of this wonderful partnership with VITA, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Acadiana, and Girl Scouts of Louisiana -- Pines to the Gulf.  Call VITA 337-234-4600 today.

About VITA

Serving the Acadiana area since 1982, VITA is a non-profit, community-based literacy agency that provides free, confidential instruction to adults.  VITA-trained volunteers and staff help adults improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills.

VITA's Mission

The mission of Volunteer Instructors Teaching Adults (VITA)  is to promote literacy in Acadiana by teaching reading and writing skills to undereducated adults so that each individual may become more independent of others in the structuring and directing of his/her own life.
