Mission

Provide the client database services and ancillary technical support as an Oracle certified DBA with product development experience.  Offering database customization and scripting to make data management more efficient and cost effective.  Specializing, but not exclusively, in Oracle databases and UNIX operating systems.

Profile

An Oracle certified DBA with diverse background maintaining E&P databases, software development, and oil finding experience as a geoscientist. Created numerous routines to manipulate data and interface with Oracle. Extensive experience with the UNIX operating system as well as Microsoft Windows. Possess specific knowledge of both Finder and OpenWorks databases. Innovative with designs to link databases and applications. In depth understanding of Exploration and Production concepts and workflow developed from years of experience as a geologist/geophysicist.

Senior Software Engineer – Data Management Product Development.
Member of team designing a web portal to an Oracle database using java/java bean/JSP technology.  Additionally, prototyped a Java based mapping and broadcast engineering analysis program based on an FCC database.

Geological Database Administrator: loading, customizing, quality checking, and interfacing with other data applications. Mentoring and training data specialists.  Special projects such as clients Y2K testing program and Finder 8.5 training.

UNOCAL CORP, Lafayette, Louisiana 1986-1996
Senior level Geologist and Computer Consultant
Geologic liaison to drafting and IT departments for data management. Designed, tested, implemented and supported several complex utilities to transfer data and interpretations between platforms, databases, geologic and drafting applications.  Served as team leader overseeing the development and exploration of 4 offshore Gulf Coast fields.  Also, worked as a field geologist on a number of onshore Louisiana fields.
