November 1--5: The 4th Annual Festival of Words Featuring  authors: Darrell Bourque, Toi Derricotte, Barb Johnson , Tim Seibles, LaTasha Weatherspoon, Desiree Dallagiacomo.  Teaching Artists Iamair and Poetic Soul.  Musicians:  the Josef Butts Trio;  Performing Artists:  Bruce Coen, and teams of volunteer drive-by poets.  Authors in the schools.  Commmunity Writing Workshops.  Drive-by Poetry performances.  Book Fair.  Crazy Fun!

Thursday, November 10, 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: R. Reese Fuller reads from Angola to Zydeco: Louisiana Lives.  With Martha Garner and Chamir Murphy.

Tuesday, November 22 FILM: 7:00 P.M. Recontructing Creole
Mr. Jay Schexnydre of Laura Plantation will be there for an Q&A after the film. FREE popcorn!
